Hey, I am Shila! I grew up in Bangladesh, moved to Canada to study Computer Science at the University of British Columbia. I have lived in Montreal, Kelowna and now I am based in Toronto, excited to see where life takes me from here as I enter the chapter to start my professional career.

Throughout my student life, I have been working part time in retails and had myself exposed to various roles, working styles and people. All my UX and non UX professional and volunteer experience have always had the user centric solution part and I have realized this is where my passion lies.

I love replacing complex problems with simple solutions and my background in computer science definitely helped in designing technology for social good with a thoughtful user experience. I have over 2 years of professional experience as an UX/UI designer. I have previously been with IBM, Alcumus, and other startups, and have been exposed to both Canadian and international job markets.

When I am not designing, I love to travel and explore new cities, exploring cute cafes, capturing sunsets, currently building up on my habit on reading books like my teen years, always down for bowling and badminton 🏸
